RFaxis, Silicon Labs partner to Extend IoT Device Capabilities

IRVINE, CA:  RFaxis, an innovative fabless semiconductor company, announces collaboration with Silicon Labs to address the high-growth of Internet of Things and smart home markets.

RF front-end reference designs from RFaxis extend the capabilities of Silicon Labs’ ZigBee and Thread EM35x mesh networking products. Thread Group is assisting product developers and consumers to connect more than 250 devices securely into a low-power, wireless mesh network that supports Internet and cloud access.

RFaxis will initially provide its reference design and followed by future products with antenna diversity. The reference design RFX2401C andf RFX2411 are fully integrated, single-chip, single-die RFeICs that incorporate all the RF functionality needed for ZigBee and other wireless systems in the 2.4GHz ISM band.

The RFX2401C and RFX2411 architectures integrate the power amplifier, low-noise amplifier, transmit and receive switching circuitry, the matching network and harmonic filter in a single-chip CMOS device. Additional antenna diversity switch and bypass mode for RFX 2411 provide flexibility for system implementations. Both RFaxis offerings provide a perfect solution for applications requiring extended range, receive sensitivity and bandwidth.
